Sarah Sockit Moseley has worked
with artists, designers, and crafters for over ten years.
As an agent, producer, and consultant, she bridges business
and art to help creative people develop their business, projects,
and brands and to market their work.
In addition to consulting on marketing and promoting, Sarah
creates book and licensed-goods proposals, pitches and licenses
them, and negotiates deals and rights. With a grounding
in strategic marketing and promotion, she advises clients
on building and promoting their businesses and brand as
well as protecting their intellectual property. Projects
and clients have been featured in media across the country
and around the world, including The New York Times, NPR’s
Fresh Air, Martha Stewart, Oprah magazine, Anderson Cooper,
Daily Candy, Boing Boing, BUST, and many others.
Sarah is passionate about fostering opportunities for creative
people to make a living with their talents as well as fostering
a society that values the work of artists and creative people.
She is committed to triple-bottom-line business and helping
to build the handmade economy.
Sarah Sockit Moseley graduated from Cornell University with
a degree in Comparative Literature, followed by an MFA from
Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) in painting.
Before Sockit Projects, Sarah was the gallery director for
two New York City galleries as well as the co-founder of
Vinnie Brand, a graphic and product design firm that creates
packages, brands, and products with a creative, humorous
sensibility marketed world-wide. She was also the studio
head for the renowned artist William Wegman.
Sarah is a farmers’s market junkie, enjoys Mast Bros chocolate,
and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and daughter.
